State Department announces 53 nations now members of the international alliance.
Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Keith Krach recently announced the addition of more nations to the Clean Network, a coalition collaborating to protect data privacy, security, human rights, and trust in global telecommunications systems with internationally accepted digital trust standards. The initiative was created by President Trump’s administration to prevent malign actors, such as the Chinese Communist Party, from compromising citizens’ privacy and companies’ most sensitive information.
The undersecretary reported that this month “Brazil became the 50th member of the Clean Network, followed by Ecuador and the Dominican Republic, and Jamaica is on the way. So in just six months, the Clean Network alliance of democracies has grown to 53 nations strong, and it represents two-thirds of the world’s global domestic product. What’s even more powerful is the participation of the private sector in this initiative. In addition to clean countries, the Clean Network now includes 180 clean telcos and dozens and dozens of leading clean companies.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the State Department as it develops alliances around the world to protect privacy and data.
- For the president’s administration as work continues on the issues facing the nation.
